“I am excited to partner with Indy’s civic and business leaders to unlock the innate potential of academically promising youth who are striving to overcome the barriers of poverty to enter college and launch a path to career success,” said Garraway.

Garraway previously served as a Senior Vice President at Devonshire Investors, the private equity affiliate of Fidelity Investments, identified and evaluated new asset classes and business ventures, as well as advised senior management teams of portfolio companies on the creation and implementation of strategic and operating plans. “Gisele brings a wealth of corporate leadership experience and civic advocacy to the role as President and CEO of the Starfish Initiative,” said Vaughn Broadnax, Starfish Initiative’s board chair. “In addition to her strong record of accomplishment in the corporate world, she has displayed a strong sense of involvement in educational and community affairs. I am looking forward to her elevating Starfish Initiative’s footprint in Indianapolis in the years to come.”

Outside of commercial pursuits, Garraway has dedicated efforts to various youth-related community causes in Greater Boston. She recently taught operations management at Babson College.
